The channel page is evolving towards a channel profile where the whole activity of a channel is gathered: uploaded content, likes and playlists are now easily accessible in a single place.

The channel profile is only available in France on the Dailymotion mobile app for now.

The Player on our native apps has been enhanced and now handles:

• better loading time for faster content delivery
• Picture-in-Picture to continue watching videos while browsing on other apps

Your Home and Follow sections have also been improved to deliver a smoother navigation and mobile experience:

• Autoplayed content
• Minimalistic and intuitive Player UI
• Action buttons

In order to provide iOS users with the best experience on their Dailymotion mobile app, we stopped supporting iOS 14 and older versions since December 2022: devices running iOS 14 and older are no longer able to download, update or run the Dailymotion app.

The minimum requirement is now iOS 15.

We recommend iOS users to upgrade their device to the latest iOS version to fully enjoy upcoming updates and features.

All Dailymotion Smart TV apps are progressively disappearing from the different online stores in 2023: Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, LG TV, PlayStation, Samsung TV, Xbox (Windows).

If you already downloaded one of these apps, you can continue using it. However, please be aware that we won't offer any more support nor maintain these products, and that no new download of the app is possible.

As an alternative, please consider using Chromecast or AirPlay to continue watching your favorite Dailymotion content on your TV.

Our daily upload limits have been raised, allowing you to add more content on your channel every day.

Playback and ads controls can now be set separately using our two new settings:

• Player controls (enable_playback_controls)
• Ads controls (enable_ads_controls)

They are replacing the deprecated Player setting "Default controls".

When setting the Ads controls, the Player configuration preview displays a demo ad to help you visualizing the outcome.

Try them from your Player configurator or using the Platform API.

The action of closing the Picture-in-Picture Player on Player embeds is now pausing the main Player instead of continuing playback. This improves the content viewability as well as the user experience.

This behavior cannot be modified, but you can customize other Player settings and parameters.

When creating dynamic playlists, you can now filter the results per Upload date by choosing a Relative date. The content within your dynamic playlist will automatically adjust accordingly.

Content tags data are now exposed in your Analytics dashboards, enabling you to check which tags are linked to your best performing content:

• The Overview, Live streaming and Ads dashboards can be sorted using the Top Tags panel
• Custom reports can be generated using the new Tag and Tag list dimensions

The new customConfig() parameter allows you to easily pass custom ad values to our Ad Stack by adding them as Player parameters in your Player integration method.

The Auto Skip parameter automatically plays the next content after a defined time interval.

Once the defined countdown is up, your Player displays a Keep watching button: the user can choose to continue watching the current content, or skip to the next one.

With this parameter, you can showcase more content and improve your audience engagement as well as your ad opportunities.

Auto skip can be implemented using the 2 following REST API fields: 

• enable_autoskip
• autoskip_after

Following the introduction of the Content Tags data in the Partner Space dashboards, the 2 following dimensions have also been added to the Reporting API:

• CONTENT_TAG
• CONTENT_TAG_LIST

The Legacy Player API References linked to our JavaScript SDK have been archived and removed from our official documentation.

Going forward, please use our latest integration methods for all your Player embeds, and refer to the Player fields to customize your Players.
