Dailymotion & Apps
Engage with other users in the Comments section
We introduced a Comments section accessible on each video page by clicking on the icon. This feature gives viewers the possibility to engage with the content they are watching, react and share opinions with other users.
Comments can only be posted by users with a validated Dailymotion account and a username. To ensure that the platform remains a positive environment, all comments are moderated.
The feature is only available in France on the iOS and Android apps. We are planning on expanding it to other countries in the coming months.

Reflect on current topics and answer the polls with Collections
Our new feature Collections gives you the opportunity to reflect on current topics by displaying on your home feed a curated selection of videos tackling the same topic seen from different angles.
Each topic is raising a question to which you can react by selecting an answer from the poll. You'll see which answers are popular among the Dailymotion community!
The feature is only available in France on the iOS and Android apps. We are planning on expanding it to other countries in the coming months.
Upload content from your Library and your mobile app
We have enriched the upload experience for Dailymotion user accounts with two news changes:
- The upload interface on desktop has been redesigned to match Dailymotion standards and the solution already offered to Partners.
- The upload feature is now available on our Android and iOS mobile apps to enable an easy content upload everywhere from any device.
Note that the content uploaded by users is private and cannot be found in Dailymotion search results. However, it is possible to share the content link to anyone. Users who received the link have the possibility to post comments (see dedicated Comments section above for more details).

In order to offer a smoother watching experience, we have enriched the loading time by adding visual feedbacks to the UI, offering you more transparency on your content's readiness when it takes longer than usual to play.

If you are using our default PiP integration, the update is automatic.

Demos and code samples are also available in our CodePen library.
Track your embedded video performances with Chartbeat
Since some of our Partners are using Chartbeat's solution to track their editorial performances, we created a guide to show you how to send your Dailymotion video analytics to your Chartbeat dashboards so that you can have a global view content performances.
The video tracker can easily be added in an existing Chartbeat integration. Find all the details in our Chartbeat video integration guide.
Loop the content embedded on your domain
We have redesigned the loop parameter on embedded content to enable a more precise loop: depending on the queue being enabled or disabled in your Player configuration, the loop parameter will enable a single video, a list of recommendations or a whole playlist to play again.
You can find more details on how to use the loop param in the Dev Portal.
