Each Pro plan allows you to benefit from a certain amount of plays, bandwidth, transcoding and storage, as defined in your contract.

In this article, you'll learn how to check the metrics you've subscribed to, and how to keep track of your usage and data consumption.

 

Access your "current usage" dashboard

You can track your subscription consumption by checking the "Current usage" dashboard, which can help you use your plan more efficiently.

  1. Log into your Dailymotion Studio.
  2. Navigate to organization_settings.png Organization settings > Subscription plan.

At the top of the dashboard, you can see the different metrics with their current usage and limit as defined in your contract. You can click on each metric card to check your monthly usage over time.

"Current usage" dashboard is refreshed once a day at 3:45 pm (UTC), with a 24-hour latency.

Metrics available

You may not see all of the metrics mentioned below. Metrics and limits can vary depending on the subscription plan you signed up for.

Metrics
Description
Plays Number of plays recorded by the Player. For Starter plan only.
Bandwidth (in GB) Video data delivered to your audience.
Transcoding (in hours) Video duration transcoded into standard format and resolutions for video delivery.
Storage (in GB) Storage consumed in bytes by the content you have uploaded.



FAQ

Can I exceed my plan limits?

Trial

Usage is capped, you cannot go beyond the limits included in your trial. 
Starter

Usage is capped, you cannot go beyond your usage limits.

When reaching your plan limits, your Studio functionalities will be limited:

  • If you reached your limits for transcoding or bandwidth, they will reset at the next billing period.
  • If you reached your limit in storage, you will need to delete videos from your Studio to free some space. Note: Deletions can take up to 24 hours to be computed. Changes may only be reflected on the following day.

If your needs have evolved and you require more resources, you can upgrade to Advanced at anytime from your Studio.
Advanced

If you exceed your allocated limits, you can still continue using your Pro features, but additional charges will apply. Learn more about overage fees and how to handle overages.

If your needs have evolved, you can increase your plan limits anytime directly from your Studio.
Enterprise

If you exceed your allocated limits, you can continue using your Pro features, but additional charges will apply. Overage fees and metric limits are listed in your contract. Learn more about overages.
