What type of content will I find on the homepage?
The Dailymotion homepage has been designed to offer our users a selection of content. It is not meant to be exhaustive and you can find many more videos on the video pages and via the search engine. The purpose of the homepage is to provide users with a selection of videos on subjects / events that are happening now. If you come back on a daily basis or even several times a day you will always be able to watch a selection of the videos on that day.
Four distinct content sections are highlighted in a navigational menu and within each section you will find content relevant to that category (news, sports, entertainment and music).
In certain countries you may also find a selection of "featured" videos or top stories of the day. This our take on what the most newsworthy stories or the day are, as they happen.
Why is the content not always relevant to me?
The content that is surfaced on the homepage is designed to appeal to a broad audience and does not take into account your viewing history, subscriptions or other behavior on Dailymotion.
Autoplay on homepage
On desktop and in our native apps the videos on the home page will autoplay without sound when they are in focus (more or less in the middle of your screen).
You can manage the autoplay preferences on the native app via the settings. You can also unmute the videos by tapping on the unmute button to get the sound in the feed.
Videos do not autoplay on the mobile web app for now.
