The Dailymotion video Player has been built to comply with international accessibility standards, to ensure it works with a wide range of assistive technologies.
Every control has information about its purpose, current state, and semantics – so that your software and/or hardware can describe things correctly, and provide ways for you to interact with some of the more complex controls.
If you are using a keyboard, check our keyboard shortcuts to get the most out of your Dailymotion experience.

Things to know
- The video Player is inside an iFrame. It usually has an identifying name such as Dailymotion Video Player.
- The Player controls are made up of a combination of form controls and links. The Player is designed to be used with either standard keyboard navigation or the virtual cursor of a screen reader.
-
Player keyboard shortcuts may not work while using a screen reader, because screen readers intercept these keystrokes to move the virtual cursor.
- If you need to turn the Player keyboard shortcuts off completely, you can do so via the Accessibility section of the Settings menu. By default, keyboard shortcuts are on.
Note, this setting only applies to keyboard shortcuts, standard keyboard access as described in the keyboard documentation will continue to work.
