Upload and manage content from your Dailymotion app

You can use your Dailymotion application to upload content directly from your mobile device to your Dailymotion channel.

In this guide, we will review in details the different upload options available from your mobile application, including:

• Record a video from your app
• Upload a video from your mobile gallery
• Upload a video from your Dailymotion Studio

Record a video from your app

You can use your Dailymotion application to record on the fly a content and post it quickly on your Dailymotion channel.

Using this record method will allow you to record up to 45 seconds of content.

To do so, you'll have to:

1. Open your Dailymotion application
2. Tap on the + button available at the main bottom menu of your application
3. Click on the Record button on the bottom center of the screen
4. Add a title to your record, add hashtags if you want to and define if your video should be private or public
5. Tap on the Publish button at the bottom of the page

Your record is now uploading and your content will be available shortly. Please make sure to wait for the end of the loading screen to make sure that your content is properly updated on your channel.

Upload a video from your mobile gallery

You can use your Dailymotion application to upload an existing video stored in your device's gallery.

This solution is interesting if you want to upload a content quickly and if you don't need to manage specific content metadata such as content category, subtitles, content description, customize your thumbnail...

Using this upload method will allow you to upload content matching our upload policies and limits. 

To do so, you'll have to:

1. Open your Dailymotion application
2. Tap on the + button available at the main bottom menu of your application
3. Click on the gallery button on the left bottom of the screen
4. Select the content you would like to upload
5. You can trim your content or upload its original version. When you're ready tap on Choose.
6. The app will adapt your content to prepare it for the app. When it's done, you get a preview of your content, and you can tap on the ✅ button to proceed.
7. Add a video title to your record, add hashtags if you want to and define if your video should be private or public
8. Tap on the Publish button at the bottom of the page

Your video is now uploading and your content will be available shortly. Please make sure to wait for the end of the loading screen to make sure that your content is properly updated on your channel.

Upload a video from Dailymotion Studio

You can use your Dailymotion application to record a new video or upload an existing one stored in your device's gallery or storage.

This solution offers you the largest range of upload sources options and allows you to specify all the video metadata and options available for your content.

Please note that even if standard users have access to the Dailymotion Studio in desktop, only Partners can have access to the Dailymotion Studio from the native application for the moment.

Share your videos

1. Open your Dailymotion application and connect to your account
2. Tap on Profile
3. Tap on the icon located in the video thumbnail you would like to share
4. Tap on Share
5. You can copy the link or send it directly through another app
