Manage your playlists

Create and edit playlists from the Dailymotion application

As a user, you can easily create playlists and access basic editing features directly from your Dailymotion mobile application.

In this article, we'll show you how to create playlists and edit them by adding / deleting videos within or change the video order.

Create a playlist

You have the possibility to create public and private playlists from your Dailymotion mobile application.

Public playlist

  1.  Open your Dailymotion application and go to your Profile profile.png
  2. Go to your Activity tab Activity.png and tap on Public playlists
  3. Tap the + in the top right corner
  4. Define your playlist name, then tap OK to save 

Private playlist

You can create private playlists from your profile or directly when watching a video.

From your profile:

  1. Open your Dailymotion app and go to your Profile profile.png
  2. Go to your Private tab Private tab on the right and tap on Private playlists
  3. Tap the + in the top right corner
  4. Define your playlist name, then tap OK to save

From a video:

  1. Open your Dailymotion application
  2. Click the menu  three_dot_menu _horizontal.png  on the video you're watching
  3. Select Add to playlist
  4. Tap Create new playlist and add your playlist name
  5. Click Close to save

Changing playlist visibility: private < - > public

Go on your Dailymotion Studio if you want to change your playlist visibility.

 

Add videos in a playlist

  1. Open your Dailymotion application
  2. Click the menu  three_dot_menu _horizontal.png  on the video you're watching
  3. Select Add to playlist
  4. Choose in which one of your existing playlists you want to add the video, or create a new one
  5. Click Close to save

 

 

Rename playlist

Public playlist

  1. Open your Dailymotion application and go to your Profile profile.png
  2. Go to the Activity.png Activity tab and click Playlists
  3. Open the playlist you want to rename, and in the top right menu, select Rename playlist
  4. Type in the new name, then tap OK

Private playlist

  1. Open your Dailymotion application and go to your Profile profile.png
  2. Go to your Private tab Private tab and select Private playlists
  3. Open the playlist you want to rename, and in the top right menu, select Rename playlist
  4. Type in the new name, then tap OK

 

Reorder videos within a playlist

  1. Open the playlist you want to reorder, and in the top right menu, select Edit playlist
  2. Press on the video you want to reorder and drag it where you want it to be
  3. Click Done to save



Remove videos from a playlist

  1. Open the playlist you want to modify, and in the top right menu, select Edit playlist
  2. Click on dailymotion_cross.png to remove a video
  3. Press Done to save
