What is a Dynamic Playlist?
Dynamic playlists allow you to set smart filters so that only videos matching these filters are added to your playlist. Learn more about the smart filters below.
Each time a new video is matching with the smart filters set on your playlist, the most recent one will replace the oldest one, unless you change the video limit of your playlist.
By default, if you did not set any smart filters when creating a dynamic playlist, the 10 most recent videos of your channel will be automatically added to it.
Add videos to your Dynamic Playlist
The Dynamic playlist can be populated with content uploaded directly on your channel, or with content created by our advanced content creators.
Populate your playlist with your content
- When creating a dynamic playlist, click on Add filters
- Select the type of metadata you want to use to populate your playlist in the Select filter dropdown and specify the rules you want to apply (you can add multiple filters to one playlist)
- Click on Refresh preview to see which videos will be added to your playlist
- Click on Create to let the magic happens!
Populate your playlist with 3rd party content
- When creating a dynamic playlist, click on Add other sources and add up to 50 channels in your selection (manually, or through our import / export feature.)
- Once selected, click on Add filter and specify the rules you want to apply (you can add multiple filters to one playlist)
- Click on Refresh preview to see which videos will be added to your playlist
- Click on Create to let the magic happens!
Existing videos and new videos matching all these rules will be automatically added to your playlist.
Note that you can exclude the videos coming from your channel by ticking the dedicated button available on the interface.
Manual actions on Dynamic playlist
Dynamic playlist will automatically add and remove videos from your playlist based on the smart filters defined on the playlist settings.
You won't be able to add or remove videos manually from your playlist once set up.

You have 2 upload date options available for this filter:
If you're using a relative date, all videos matching the relative date will be automatically added to your playlist, and removed from your playlist. It means that if you select Last 24 hours, all the videos uploaded in the last 24 videos will be added in your playlist, and will automatically be removed the next day, replaced by the most recent ones. If you're using custom dates, all matching videos with the date range selected (previously uploaded and future videos) will be added to your playlist. |

Playlist behaviour in case of filters & metadata modification
Editing a video with matching metadata to your playlist rules will add the video to your playlist automatically.
Removing or updating metadata on your videos will remove videos that don't match the smart filters anymore.
