Description
A “v1st”, also called “Service ID” is the value of the unique online identification number automatically assigned to your device during your use of the Dailymotion service.
The value of this unique identifier is stored within in a Dailymotion cookie dropped on your device and has a maximum lifespan of 13 months. Please note that if you use several devices to access our service, you will have more than one v1st.
Why am I requested to pass it to Dailymotion?
When you contact us in order to make a personal data access and/or deletion request, but you don’t have any existing Dailymotion Account and you are just using the Dailymotion Service as a Visitor, we don’t know what is your v1st.
In such case, it’s important to understand that the only possible way for Dailymotion to retrieve the personal data that we might have about you in our systems is for you to provide us with the value of your V1st identifier assigned automatically to your device during your use of the Dailymotion service.
Only once we know this value can we search for all the data associated to this identifier and either provide them to you, if you’ve made a personal data access request, or delete them for you, if you’ve made a personal data erasure request.
Note though that if you delete the cookies from your device and you don’t have any user account on the Dailymotion Service, we will no longer be able to associate you with any data related to you hosted on our systems.
How can I retrieve it?
You may retrieve the value of your v1st on each of your devices from your browser settings. Such value can be found in a detailed description of a Dailymotion cookie accessible within your browser settings by following your browser-specific step-by-step procedures:
