Upon receipt of your report by Dailymotion, the reported content is not automatically removed. It is then examined by our moderation team.
Who processes your report?
Each report received by Dailymotion is processed by our moderation team in charge of evaluating, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, if the reported content is illicit and/or contrary to our Prohibited Content Policy which is an integral part of our Terms of Use.
What happens after your report?
At the end of the process, you will receive an email from Dailymotion informing you of the outcome.
There are three types of decisions that can be made about the content you have reported:
- The reported content violates our Prohibited Content Policy: we will remove the content from our platform
- The reported content does not violate our Prohibited Content Policy: the content will remain or be reposted
- The reported content is compliant with our Prohibited Content Policy but is not appropriate for all audiences: we will apply a restriction for sensitive content to protect the most vulnerable audiences
Can I appeal a moderation decision?
We allow some of our users to appeal a moderation decision with which they disagree.

Abusive use of Dailymotion
In the event of a serious or repeated breach of our internal policies, Dailymotion reserves the right to suspend the account and notify the competent authorities.
