What is sensitive content?
Any content that might offend the sensibilities of vulnerable audiences must not be posted without having the restricted mode turned on, particularly content:
- Presenting partial nudity in a suggestive context
- Presenting total or partial nudity even in an educational, scientific, documentary and/or artistic context
- Constituting sexual challenges
- Depicting violent scenes of war even in an educational, scientific, documentary and/or artistic context
- With a sexual theme or involving sexual activity
- With a suggestive and/or sexual title or description
- Including depictions of violence even if it is not the main focus of the video
- Including recordings of actual violence even without emphasing on injuries or blood
- Presenting real medical procedure
- Presenting scenes of animal cruelty even in an educational, scientific, documentary and/or cultural context
How does the restricted mode work?
To protect vulnerable audiences you have the obligation to turn on the option “restrict access to sensitive content” when you upload sensitive content on Dailymotion.
By doing so, users who have activated the restricted mode will not be exposed to sensitive content: they will not be able to watch the uploaded sensitive content, nor will they be able to find it via Dailymotion’s search engine. Moreover, sensitive content are not monetized by Dailymotion.

What happens if I don't turn on the restricted mode on sensitive content?
If you don’t turn on the restricted mode on sensitive content, you are in violation of our Prohibited Content Policy. If such content is reported by a user or detected by our moderation tools, your content might be moderated.
