What's the queue?
To get an overview of the feature, check the article about the queue and its functionalities.
Enable / Disable the queue
By default, the queue is automatically enabled on all embedded videos. You can choose to enable or disable it yourself directly within your Player parameters:
- Log in to your Dailymotion Studio
- Go to Embeds > Players
- Select the Player you want to edit, or Create a new Player
- Toggle on / off Queue
- Save your Player configuration
When enabled, the queue is, by default, populated with recommended videos from our algorithm. If you prefer customizing it, check the below section.
Customize the queue
In order to give you more control on your content and provide your audience with a tailored playback experience, you have different ways to customize the queue:
Embed a playlist in the queue
As Dailymotion playlists can be dynamic or manual, you can choose the one that best fits your needs:
- a manual playlist will create a static queue
- a dynamic playlist will create a dynamic queue with regular updates based on a set of rules
Once your playlist defined, you can retrieve its embed code to be able to display your custom queue on your domain:
- Log in to your Dailymotion Studio
- Go to Media > Playlists
- Click on the 3 dots next to the defined playlist
- Click on Embed
- You can change some parameters of the code: autostart on/off, Player size, SEO metadata
- Copy the embed code to add it on the domain where you want to display your playlist
The queue of your embedded Player is now populated with the videos from your playlist!
Private content behavior within an embedded playlist
Depending on the content visibility settings you applied, your content may not be available within the queue.
If the content of your playlist is:
- Public: all your content will be displayed in the queue
- Private: your content won't be displayed in the queue
- A mix of private and public content: only the public content will be displayed in the queue
Adjust dedicated queue parameters
- Autonext
- Video titles in carousel thumbnails.
