Display number of viewers
This button allows you to decide if the number of viewers currently watching your live stream can be displayed. If enabled, the number of viewers appears directly on the Player when hovering with your mouse.
Enable DVR
What is the DVR feature on a live stream?
The DVR (Digital Video Recorder) feature allows your audience to rewind during a live stream, pause the video, and resume watching from where they left off. This option is particularly useful for viewers who want to rewatch a part of the stream or who join late and want to catch up on the first few minutes without missing what’s happening live.
Viewers can use the progress bar to rewind up to 4 hours. They can go back to live by bringing the cursor back on the right.
How to enable DVR from the Studio?
To enable DVR on a live stream, follow the steps below:
- Log in to your Dailymotion Studio and go to Media > Live stream to see the list of your scheduled or ongoing livestreams
- Select the livestream for which you want to enable DVR, then go to the Control Panel for that livestream.
- In the control panel, look for the Enable DVR option and activate it by checking the corresponding box
- Save your changes to make sure that the DVR feature is active during your next stream.
Important
Make sure the livestream is offline when enabling DVR. This feature cannot be activated while the livestream is in progress, so make sure to perform this operation before starting your broadcast.

Check the dedicated article to learn how to trigger ad breaks manually to monetize your live stream.
Live stream stat
The live stream stat gives you the technical information of the stream received by Dailymotion:
- Video bitrate
- Audio bitrate
- Resolution
- Framerate

Note: this section is available on all dashboard tabs, and is only visible when your live stream is on air.

Stream URL and Stream key
The Stream URL and Stream key are relevant information to paste in your encoding software configuration to stream using the RTMP protocol:
- Stream URL: Dailymotion uses the RTMP video streaming protocol. Paste the Stream URL in your encoding software so it can send your stream to the Dailymotion servers.
- Stream key: this is your unique stream identifier that authorizes your stream to go live on your Dailymotion channel.

Important: Never share your Stream keys! This is a sensitive data that could lead to compromising your Dailymotion channel when leaked.
SRT URL
The SRT URL enables you to stream using the SRT protocol which is required if you want to dynamically insert ad breaks in your stream using SSAI (server-side ad insertion).
