If you don’t want your video to immediately be public on dailymotion, you can set it to private and schedule a “go public” date. To do so, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the edit interface of the video.
- Within “Make Video public,” you can define the start date and time when your video will go public
- You can also define an end date and time when your video will no longer be public
- Be sure to click save
WARNING: when a publication date and time is set, it overrides video visibility defined in the basic tab and the video is deleted 7 days after the end date.
Therefore, setting a video's visibility to “private” will force it to be public within the “Make video public” window.
