Add and manage video chapters

Video chapters allow you to split your videos into meaningful sections, making it easier for viewers to navigate and jump directly to the parts they're most interested in.

Why should you use video chapters?

• Better navigation: Viewers with specific interests or limited time can quickly find moments they care about, without watching the entire video.
  
  
• Higher engagement: Structured videos hold viewer interest longer by making it easier to browse and consume content in segments.
  
  
• Enhanced SEO: Each chapter is indexed by search engines, improving your video's discoverability in search results.

Add video chapters

You can add video chapters directly from your Studio:

1. From your Dailymotion Studio, go in Media > Videos and click on the video of your choice.
2. In the menu, go to Chapters.
3. Add chapters using one of these methods:
   • Manually: Enter timestamps in MM:SS or HH:MM:SS format, and click Add chapter to validate each.
   • Using the Player: Navigate through the video and click Add chapter at XX:XX to insert a chapter at that point.
4. Click Save to apply you changes.

Once saved, chapters will appear within the Player's seekbar and are clickable for quick navigation.

Delete video chapters

1. From your Dailymotion Studio, go in Media > Videos and click on the video of your choice.
2. In the menu, go to Chapters.
3. You can delete chapters individually or delete them all:
   • Delete individual chapters: Hover over a chapter timestamp or title to reveal the delete icon .
   • Delete all chapters: Click the delete icon in the top right corner, next to Save.
4. Click Save to confirm the changes.
