What does it mean?
Depending on your account setting, we may share or disclose your public content and associated metadata with trusted Data Partners.
If you do not opt out from that option, the applicable Data Partners may use your content for training and improving their own AI models, including generative AI models.
What information is shared?
Content and associated metadata refer to the videos shared online by adults on the Dailymotion service and made available to the public, as well as their title, description, category, and other technical information like the video language, its quality, or the country it’s been uploaded from.
It does not include your username nor any information you decided to keep private and that are only known to you, meaning that we will never share your email address, your birthdate or other confidential and directly identifiable information you provided to us to our Data Partners.
If you are registered as a minor (under 18 years of age) we will not share your content even if you have not expressly opposed to such share.
If you believe that your videos contain information that you cannot or do not want us to share with our Data Partners (ex. personal and/or confidential information about you or about third parties) we recommend that you either change the visibility settings of your videos (change videos setting from public to private) or opt out from the share feature.
How to opt out of this share?
You have the right to oppose to our sharing of your content with our Data Partners by using the opting out tool available in the “Content defaults” section of your account’s media settings.

When the toggle is activated, Dailymotion will not share your content with Data Partners moving forward. Your decision will not be retroactive, meaning that it will not affect the content already shared.
If you own several accounts on Dailymotion, please make sure to exercise your choice on each of your accounts.
If your videos include content protected by copyright, we remind you that, as an essential condition that of our Service Terms of Use, you are responsible for ensuring that use of such content on the Dailymotion Service is authorized by their right holders.

How is your data protected?
Dailymotion’s Terms of Use strictly prohibit unauthorized content scraping by third-parties. We only collaborate with trusted partners from whom we have obtained appropriate contractual warranties.
It means that our data partners are bound to strictly comply with applicable privacy laws and AI regulations, and are not allowed to use data to train AI models that would cause any unacceptable or risks for people.
Additionally, we limit the data we share by disclosing only videos that our users have already decided to make accessible to the public and by not disclosing any additional information that could enable our Data partners to identify you. In particular, no directly identifiable information, such as email address, name or username is shared.
