Manage your subscription

Adjust your plan and associated limits

Your needs may evolve overtime, you may need to adjust your Pro subscription to better fit new situations. In this article, we'll show you how to manage your Pro subscription from your Studio and make it evolve to suit your needs.

 

Increase your plan limits

If you're on the Starter subscription and need to increase your limits, you can upgrade to the Advanced plan and select the limits you need. If you're already on the Advanced plan, you can increase your plan limits as you need.

  1. From your Dailymotion Studio, and go to organization_settings.png Organization settings > Subscription plan > Plan details.
  2. Click the button:
    • Upgrade (if you're on Starter)
    • Adjust plan limits (if you're on Advanced)
  3. Increase the limits as you need for bandwidth, encoding and storage, then click Go to payment to proceed with the payment.
  4. In the next window, you'll see a summary of your subscription changes: review it for accuracy. A notice informs you that we will proceed with the payment for the difference between your old and new plan for the time left in the current billing period.
  5. Click Confirm to proceed with the change.

Allow a few seconds for the payment to be processed and for your new plan limits to be available, then refresh the page. You can now enjoy your new plan limits!

 

Reduce your plan limits

If you're on the Advanced subscription, you can reduce your plan limits or downgrade to the Starter plan if your needs have changed.

Limits cannot be adjusted below current usage

You cannot downgrade or adjust bandwidth, transcoding or storage limits below what has already been consumed in the current billing period:

  • Bandwidth and transcoding reset at the start of each new billing period: To lower them below your current usage, wait for a new billing period to start.
  • Storage doesn’t reset: To reduce your storage usage, you need to delete content from your account before being allowed to adjust the limit. Please note that it can take up to 24 hours for deletions to be computed. Changes may only be reflected on the following day.
  1. Log into your Dailymotion Studio, and go to organization_settings.png Organization settings > Subscription plan > Plan details.
  2. Click the Adjust plan limits button.
  3. Lower the limits as you need for bandwidth, encoding and storage, or change your plan to Starter. Then click Go to payment to proceed with the payment.
  4. In the next window, you'll see a summary of your subscription changes: review it for accuracy. A notice informs you that any price difference between your old and new plan we be credited to your next invoice(s).
  5. Click Confirm to proceed with the change.

Allow a few seconds for your new plan limits to be available, and refresh the page. Enjoy your new limits!
