What is eco mode?
Eco mode gives you the possibility as a viewer to adjust the quality of the videos you are watching on the Dailymotion Player to help save energy and reduce CO2 emissions.
While high-quality video streaming requires significant data transfer, the eco mode limits the video quality to a level that is comfortable for most devices and adapts the bitrate to match the available network connection and your device capabilities.
This option is available on the Player UI on a simple click and it is a way for you to have a positive impact on the environment by changing the way you consume content online.
How does it work?
When the eco mode is activated, the maximum streaming resolution is set to 720p. The Player will continuously monitor your network conditions and device capabilities to automatically adapt the bitrate as needed between 720p, 480p and 380p for a seamless and more sustainable viewing experience.
