Single Sign-On is a plan feature
Please reach out to your assigned Account Manager or our Support Team to subscribe and set it up on your Dailymotion Studio
Single Sign-On (SSO) simplifies the login process by allowing users to authenticate only once using their SSO credentials (from Okta, Azure AD or any other identity provider). Users then have access to multiple applications without having to re-enter any other login information.
As a Partner, you can set up SSO on your Dailymotion Studio to allow all existing Organization users to enjoy an easy login and add new users on-the-fly with Just-In-Time (JIT) user provisioning.
Set up SSO on your Dailymotion Studio
As an Organization Owner, you can set up SSO in a few steps following our dedicated guides:
In this article, we'll introduce you to the basics of your Dailymotion Studio SSO setup:
- What is Just-In-Time (JIT) user provisioning
- How to use the toggle Make SSO required (available once SSO has been set up)
What is Just-In-Time (JIT) user provisioning
With Just-In-Time (JIT) user provisioning, you can add new users on-the-fly on your Dailymotion Organization without the need for them to sign up and create an account with password on dailymotion.com.
This is how you should proceed to add new users via JIT:
- Assign users to your SSO app registered in Okta, Azure AD or any other identity provider: make sure they use your business email domain
- When setting up SSO on your Dailymotion Studio, fill in your business email domain and assign a default permission: any assigned user trying to log in to your Dailymotion Studio will be recognized and automatically added to your Organization
Important
Users created via JIT are tied to SSO
Since these users don't have an account with a password on dailymotion.com, they can no longer log in if SSO is disabled on your Dailymotion Organization
How to use the toggle "Make SSO required"
Once your SSO connection has been configured on your Dailymotion Studio, you can use the "Make SSO required" toggle and decide if logging in via SSO should be mandatory to all assigned users.
This option has a different impact on users depending if they have been added via JIT (see section above) or if they created an account on dailymotion.com and signed up with a password:
Users added via JIT | Users who signed up on dailymotion.com with password | |
---|---|---|
Toggle ON | Login via SSO | Login via SSO |
Toggle OFF | Login via SSO | Login with Dailymotion credentials No SSO |
