Playlist

Create & edit playlists from your Dailymotion Studio

As a Partner, you can create Playlists from your Dailymotion Studio. A playlist allows you to organize and centralize videos based on a thematic or any criteria you're interested in. Dailymotion allows you to create two types of playlists: Manual and Dynamic. 

Manual: A Manual Playlist allows you to add manually videos from your Dailymotion Studio or from Dailymotion.com.  

Dynamic: A Dynamic Playlist allows you to automatically populate a playlist based on video metadata filters, such as tags, video category, upload dates, language, etc. The videos from your channel matching those criteria will be added to your playlist. 

Create a manual playlist

  1. Go to your Dailymotion Studio and click on the Media section 
  2. Select the Playlists section 
  3. Click on the button Create Playlist 
  4. Select manual playlist 
  5. Set a title and a description to your playlist 
  6. Set up the sorting applied to the videos on your playlist  
  7. Set up a playlist limit if doesn't want to exceed a maximum number of videos. 
  8. Click on Create

Create a dynamic playlist

  1. Go to your Dailymotion Studio and click on the Media section 
  2. Select the Playlists section 
  3. Click on the button Create Playlist 
  4. Select dynamic playlist 
  5. Set a title and a description to your Playlist 
  6. Set up how you want to sort your videos 
  7. Select the type of metadata you want to use to populate your playlist in the Select filter dropdown 
  8. Set up a playlist limit if doesn't want to exceed a maximum number of videos. 
  9. Click on Create 

Existing and future videos uploaded in your account matching your filters will be added automatically to your playlist.

Edit your playlist

  1. From your Dailymotion Studio, go to the Media section and then to the Playlist tab 
  2. Click on the playlist title you would like to edit 
  3. Click on the tab Settings to edit the title or the description of your playlist 
  4. Click on the tab Advanced to update your playlist order, the video limit or your smart filters if you are in a dynamic playlist. 
  5. Click on Save when you've finished your updates.
