Why is it important to manage your channel information?

Your channel is your identity on Dailymotion: how it looks and how you present it will have an impact on the user landing on your channel. Here are a few reasons why it is important to manage and customize your Dailymotion channel:

• Improve search results - Accurate and relevant channel information about the content you create improves the chances of showing up in search results and recommendations
  
  
• Build a strong and reliable brand image - Being easily recognizable across platforms and apps makes it easier for users to find your channel and know it is legit

Manage your channel information

To start managing your channel information, follow the steps below:

1. From your Dailymotion Studio, go to Channel from the navigation menu
2. Depending on your account type, 4 sections can be available:
   • Channel details - For the main details and identity features of your channel
   • Content defaults - To define default values to apply to your content
   • Advanced - For more complex settings
   • External accounts - To link your Youtube account
