Why is it interesting to schedule your live events?

Automating the start and end time of your live events has many benefits:

Organize your content planning - Plan and schedule multiple events ahead of time
Start on time - Your events will always start and end of time
Focus on other tasks - Automating your live events enables you to free up time and resources for other tasks

To schedule your live event:

From your Dailymotion Studio, go to Media > Live streams
Open the live stream of your choice, then click on the Schedule tab
In Schedule next live event, select the Start date and time of your live event
Optional: If needed, you can also schedule the end date of your live events. To do so, toggle on the option and define the date and time when your live should go "Off air".
If no end date is defined, you will need to manually stop and put "Off air" your live event by going in Control Panel > Visibility > Off.
Click Save

It will automatically start and stop at the defined dates and times
Don't forget to start your encoder ahead of time so the live begins on time!

When a live is scheduled, a countdown appears for your audience until it begins:

If you have set start and end dates for a live event but wish to modify them, you can easily do so:

From your Dailymotion Studio, go to Media > Live streams
Open the live stream of your choice, then click on the Schedule tab
In Schedule next live event, click on the date and/or time you want to edit and define the new ones
Click Save

To remove the start and end dates of a live event:

From your Dailymotion Studio, go to Media > Live streams
Open the live stream of your choice, then click on the Schedule tab
In Schedule next live event, you can hover over the Start date and End date to reveal the "cross" icon on the right, and click it.
Click Save
