You can manually add subtitle files in multiple languages to your videos directly from your Dailymotion Studio. This allows you to provide accurate captions, localize your content and improve accessibility for your audience.
Upload subtitles to a video
- In your Dailymotion Studio, go to Media > Videos.
- Open the video of your choice and go to Subtitles.
- Click Add subtitles > Upload subtitles.
- Choose the subtitle language from the dropdown menu. If subtitles for a specific language already exist, that language will be disabled and cannot be selected again.
- Select a .srt file from your computer to upload it.
Once uploaded, the subtitles will appear in the list of subtitle tracks for this video. You can view, edit, download or delete them at any time.
Note
Subtitle files must comply with the .srt standard. If it isn't the case, open your file in a subtitle editor and export it as .srt before uploading.

Premium creators and Pro customers can also benefit from AI-powered subtitle translations, allowing them to automatically generate subtitles in multiple languages with no manual file uploads.
